An international gift certificate payment terminal having a real-time exchange rate calculation function and an international gift certificate settled by the terminal are provided to automatically settle the international gift certificate by autonomously comparing/calculating a nominal price of the international gift certificate without exchanging information with a country issuing the international gift certificate. A member country data storing part(15) stores information for the countries to use the international gift certificate, and an issuance year/quantity, a certificate serial number, and a country code of the international gift certificates issued in each member country. An exchange rate receiver(16) receives real-time exchange rate information from an exchange information server of the country. A display part(17) displays the information and a calculated payment amount of the gift certificate read by a reader(12). An exchange rate calculator(18) calculates the nominal price of the gift certificate into a current price of the country by comparing the issuance price with the exchange rate. A payment information storing part(19) stores the information of the settled gift certificate.
