The wire frame is designed so that where the longitudinal wire (3) crosses (6) the transverse and contour wires (1,2) the longitudinal wires butt fit with the cross wires in a plane and are welded by a connector (4) which lies thereon. The connectors can be triangular, semi-circular, square, rectangular or trapezoidal. Pairs of oblong welding lenses (5) are attached to the connector transversely to the relevant wire direction and ensure a secure welded connection at the intersecting points.
