The method involves connecting an upper component (1), which is designed as a rotation-symmetric body, with a component (2) by a three-dimensional (3D) welded joint (3). An ultrasonic testing is applied for testing the 3D welded joint based on connected components from the inside and outside. The components that are to be joined are formed with a welded joint surface (5) of same inclination. Ultrasonic waves are impinged on the welded joint that is to be tested. A probe is positioned to the welded joint. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method of testing a welded construction.
