The circular blade (1) has several cutting teeth (2) arranged around the blade in relation to the central opening (3) so that the teeth for a first sector relative to the opening are rotationally slightly off-set from the teeth of at least a further sector of the opening. The centre opening has a groove to take up the torque from a drive shaft. Independent claim describes device for shredding bio mass such as food residues having two parallel opposing drive shafts with spaced blades which engage in one another contact-free in a cutting area.
