Changing given twist of heddle to produce S-heddle from Z-heddle, applies clamps to remove initial twist, then produces new twist in different position

The initial twist (8, 9) is removed in a first stage. In a second stage, a new twist is produced, which differs from the first. The twist to be produced, is close to that removed. The second twist has a different location and/or size than the first. First and second clamps grip the heddle (1) on either side of the first twist. They are rotated relatively, to remove the twist, thus forming a straightened section. The strip of material between the first and second clamps is gripped by a third clamp at the location of the original twist. Second and third clamps are rotated relatively, whilst the relative positions of first and third are unaltered. The third clamp is adjusted along the length of the material, between the first and second stages. The third clamp is moved away from the second clamp, to the first clamp.
