The method involves inputting search criteria for a location in transit facilities, on a terminal. A request is transmitted by a communication network toward a server comprising a database having multicriteria information. The criteria and the information are compared and sorted. Information comprising a location component whose part is common to a part of the search location, is retained with respect to the search criteria for the location in the transit facilities. Results are transmitted via the communication network toward the terminal. The results are displayed in the terminal.
