PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems where a magnetic tool used in conventional biochips is made of a metal and preparation of a micromagnetic tool, giving a precise shape is difficult, due to the limitation of machining, and it has been difficult to impart flexibility to the magnetic tool.;SOLUTION: The method for producing micromagnetic tools comprises mixing a curable resin with magnetic microparticles and casting the mixture into a mold, microfabricated by a lithographic technology and solidifying the mixture. As a result, micromagnetic tools having various shapes can be mass-produced in a microscale. According to this technique, magnetic tools and micro-magnetic actuators with micro scales having many shapes and functions, e.g. a rotator driven by magnet, a valve performing exercise advancing side by side, a delivery mechanism of microparticles of cell, etc., can be prepared. To the magnetic tools, flexibility can be imparted by changing characteristics, the kinds and mixing concentrations of resins, and their hardness can be changed. The magnetic tools adhering to passages, and so on, inside the passages made of the curable resin or glass or plastics, can be prevented by carrying out surface coating treatment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
