PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base coat composition used for the outside surface of a BPA-free 3P metal can, imparting a designing property of a highly bright silver color on the coated 3P metal can, excellent in close adhesion with an upper UV ink layer and topping gloss varnish, also excellent in retort resistance and having less environmental load, and the 3P metal can having the dried and cured coated film layer of the coating composition.;SOLUTION: This base coat composition for the 3P metal can contains (A) a polyester resin without containing a bisphenol-originated type raw material, (B) a resin composition having a curing agent, (C) an aluminum flake paste pigment covered with an acrylic resin on its surface, (D) a homopolymer of isobutyl acrylate having 5,000 to 10,000 number-average molecular weight and (E) an UV ink-anchoring agent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
