PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively predict interactive portions by finding a local portion where frustration exists in primary sequence information of a protein. PSOLUTION: A user inputs an objective sequence data 10 that is the primary sequence information of the objective protein to this interaction portion predicting device of the present invention, executes thereby a secondary structure predicting simulation of the objective sequence data 10 input to secondary structure predicting programs 20a-20d for predicting secondary structure of the protein based on the primary sequence information of the objective protein, compares secondary structure-predicted results 30a-30d in the respective secondary structure predicting programs 20a-20d (60), calculates the frustration in the primary sequence information of the objective protein based on a compared result therein (70), and predicts the interactive portion of the objective protein, based on the calculated frustration in the local portion (80).
