The modular housing (1) is for incorporation in a facade aperture, such as a window opening, and incorporates an upper wall (3), from which is spaced a lower wall (2) and an outer wall (4) on the outside of a facade aperture. An inner wall (5) is positioned on the inside of the facade and in the longitudinal direction of the walls are opposing end partitions (10). Each end partition forms an assembly comprising at least two end partitions (16,17,18). Inside the housing is a ventilation through passage (6) bewteen downwardly directed feed apertures (7,8), the first of which issues into the outer air and the second into a room. The ventilation through passage can be freed or closed by a valve (9) operated by a tap (11). The housing upper and lower walls are formed by aluminum profile pieces (12-15) joined to each other by grooves and ridges. The dimensions of the housing can be matched to the width of the window frame and the facade.
