DEVICE FOR THE SEGMENTARY MOBILIZATION OF THE VERTEBRAL COLUMN FOR THE TREATMENT OF SCOLIOSIS AND KYPHOSIS

The current, object of this request, regards a device for the segmentary mobilization of the vertebral column for the treatment of scoliosis and kyphosis composed of a base structure (1), that support superiorly a bent arm (2), through means for the blocking of the ropes(3), and of two rods (4), for the hooking of the accessories. This base structure is inferiorly furnished of a footboard (6), and of an auxiliary structure (7). The base structure is composed, from the other side, of a vertical rod (8), where in the superior part is rotatebly connected a support for the pulley (9), the other extremity, being fixed, centrally from the other side, in the inferior part (1g) of the base structure (1), where a support for the second pulley (11) slides. The two pulleys (9) and (11) are connected to a rope, the superior part is hooked to means (3), and at the inferior extremity is connected a belt (A) through a pulley so that the force to be applied to the rope is equal to the half of the force of the total traction necessary for the belt. To the hooks (2e) of the bent arm (2) is connected a chin rest (B). On the two rods (4) are hung different accessories, depending on the part of the column where is requested the mobilization. The accessory (C), that rotates on a longitudinal axle, has an irregular cylindrical shape, showing a progressive narrowing in the central zone. The accessory (D), that rotates on a longitudinal axle, has an irregular cylindrical shape, showing a channel in the central zone.
