PLANT SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM USING RFID TECHNOLOGY AND THE METHOD THEREOF

A system for managing safety of a workplace by using RFID and a method thereof are provided to prevent accidents, enhance environment in the workplace, and to maximize working efficiency or to prevent technology leakage. A system for managing safety of a workplace by using RFID comprises an RFID(Radio-Frequency Identification) tag(320), an RFID receiver(310), a CCTV(Closed-Circuit Television)(410), a speaker(420), a warning lamp(430), a management computer(100) and a management server(200). A position of a worker is detected through the RFID tag. The RFID receiver receives a signal from the RFID tag(320). The CCTV captures an image related to the operation state of a machine. The speaker and the warning lamp are installed at dangerous areas. The management computer is electrically connected to the CCTV, the speaker and the warning lamp which are controlled by the management server. The management server receives information from the RFID receiver and the management computer, controls operations of the RFID receiver and the management computer, and monitors persons coming into the workplace.
