A COCONUT COIR CULTURE MEDIUM FOR WATER CULTURE HAVING WELL-BALANCED ION CONCENTRATIONS AND A METHOD OF BALANCING ION COCENTRATIONS IN A COCONUT COIR CULTURE MEDIUM FOR WATER CULTURE

A hydroponic coconut coir medium with well-balanced ion concentrations is provided. A method of balancing ion concentrations such as K, Ca and Mg ions in the coconut coir medium through the chemical property improvement is provided to develop an environmentally friendly medium for hydroponic cultivation. A coconut coir medium for hydroponic cultivation with well balanced ion concentrations contains: a general coconut coir medium comprising 20 to 70% by weight of coconut fiber or coconut chips and 30 to 80% by weight of Coco Peat; and any one material selected from the group consisting of agricultural lime, gypsum, calcium nitrate and magnesium sulfate which is added with an amount of less than 0 to 5g per 1L general coconut coir medium.
