A supported catalyst for producing hydrogen gas, a method for preparing the supported catalyst, and a method for producing the hydrogen gas using the supported catalyst are provided to produce the hydrogen gas by a steam reforming reaction of low-priced liquefied natural gas. A supported catalyst for producing hydrogen gas comprises an alumina-zirconia complex oxide carrier and a catalytic metal supported on the complex oxide carrier. The alumina-zirconia complex oxide carrier contains alumina and zirconia grafted on a surface of the alumina. The alumina-zirconia complex oxide carrier contains 1-50 wt% of zirconia based on 100 wt% of alumina. In the supported catalyst, 1-50 wt% of catalytic metal is supported on 100 wt% of complex oxide carrier. Further, the catalytic metal is Pt, Au, Pd, Rh, La, Ce, Yb, Ni, Cu, Ag, Ru, Ir, Os, Au, Co, V, Fe, Sn, Ca, Mg, a mixture thereof or an alloy thereof.
