The servo steering gear has an inlet (28) and an outlet (30) provided for a hydraulic fluid. A butterfly valve (38) is assigned to the outlet. The butterfly valve is opened in an initial condition, where the butterfly valve is closable for the purpose of increasing a servo-steering mechanism (8) pressure. The butterfly valve exhibits a valve unit that is acted upon by a spring against a flow direction of the hydraulic fluid in an opened condition. The valve unit is arranged in a flow path of the hydraulic fluid. A rest flow channel is formed by a borehole in the valve unit.
