The method involves collecting injection period of base fuel, pressure and temperature alternative fuels. Calibration injection period of the alternative fuel, correction pressure alternative fuel and correction temperature alternative fuel are collected. Energy equivalents between the base and alternative fuels are determined by an adjusting box. Correction factor, the energy equivalents, the calibration injection period of the alternative fuel, calibration injection period of base and alternative fuels, the correction temperature alternative fuel and volume extension rate are resulted.
