The method involves predicting unstable driving characteristics during a change from a cam track (10) to another cam track (12), and subjecting a curve-inner front wheel with a brake pressure with the unstable driving characteristics. A condition is provided for determining the driving characteristics with determining friction coefficient necessary for stability of a vehicle (7) and determining the estimated friction coefficient. The estimated friction coefficient is compared with the friction coefficient necessary for the stability of the vehicle.
