Rotor i.e. eddy current-reduced rotor, balancing method for electrical machine, involves forming slot with respect to position and shape of rotor such that slot compensates or partially compensates rotor unbalance
The method involves arranging a slot (5) in a lateral surface (4) of a rotor (1) for reducing eddy current loss. The slot is formed with respect to position and shape of the rotor such that the slot compensates or partially compensates a rotor unbalance. The slot is provided in the rotor such that the slot rotatably extends over circumference of the rotor, where slot includes a slot base that runs eccentrically to the lateral surface of the rotor. An independent claim is also included for a rotor of an electrical machine.
