PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for creating an atlas composed of a plurality of pages displaying a selection map containing a selected destination and a wide-area map including the selection map, and to provide a system for creating the atlas.;SOLUTION: The atlas creating method includes: a step of receiving, from a first computer (30), selection map information selected from a map information table by retrieving the destination; a step of creating atlas information by arranging the selection map information in any one of the divided areas in one sheet of paper data; a step of transmitting the atlas information from a second computer (20) to the first computer (30); and a step of outputting, by a printer, the atlas information received by the first computer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
