PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decid whether an electronic mail is a junk mail or not based on a flow rate of the electronic mails and to suppress an attack against a reception MTA device using the electronic mail.;SOLUTION: The junk mail suppression device 10 is provided with a storage part 11a deciding whether the electronic mail from a transmission MTA device is a junk mail or not, deciding whether it is to be transmitted to the reception MTA device or not and storing decision information, a deciding means 12a retrieving the storage part, deciding whether the electronic mails exceed the prescribed flow rate or not based on corresponding decision information when it is stored and storing decision information corresponding to the electronic mail in the storage part based on connection information from the transmission MTA device and on a protocol content of the electronic mail when information is not stored and a transmission means 12b transmitting a rejection response to the transmission MTA when the electronic mails exceed the prescribed flow rate and transmitting a protocol to the reception MTA device in the other case.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
