PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the occurrence of "parallel movement in the cross direction of a vehicle based on the variation of a modified steering angle" when the deviation of the vehicle based on the forward/backward force difference between right and left wheels is inhibited by controlling modification of the rear wheel steering angle.;SOLUTION: A stabilization moment MS for inhibiting deviation of the vehicle is operated based on the forward/backward force difference ΔFX between the right and left wheels and the deviation in the motional state quantity ΔVM at the time of μ-split control, and a rear wheel modified steering angle target value δrt is operated based on the stabilization moment MS. The value δrt is subjected to the variation inhibition process to output a rear wheel modified steering angle target value δrte. Modification of the rear wheel steering angle is controlled based on the value δrte so that the actual rear wheel modified steering angle δra matches the value δrte. In this way, variation of the value δrt caused by the variation of the stabilization moment MS based on the variation of the forward/backward force difference ΔFX generated at the time of μ-split control is inhibited, and the "variation of the actual rear wheel modified steering angle δra", a major cause of the "parallel movement in the cross direction of the vehicle based on the variation of the modified steering angle", is inhibited.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
