PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new derivative capable of rapidly, accurately and simply carrying out diagnosis and examination of uremia by determining a specific indoxyl sulfate by immunological determination. ;SOLUTION: This derivative is represented by formula I {L1 to L3 are each a group of formula II [X is O, S, N, etc.; Y1 and Y2 are each an aromatic ring containing a 5-membered or 6-membered heterocycle, a single bond, etc.; (n), (m) and (p) are each 0-5]}, e.g. sodium 1-(2',3'epoxypropyl)indoxyl sulfate.
