PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screening method of an inhibitor of the production of an indoxyl sulfuric acid, an inhibitor of the metabolic production of an indoxyl sulfuric acid, and a mitigator of kidney damage capable of exploring substance impeding metabolic production in the liver of the indoxyl sulfuric acid (IS), a typical uremia substance quickly.;SOLUTION: There are provided the screening method of the inhibitor of the production of the indoxyl sulfuric acid which includes incubating indole and a test substance under the presence of the liver S9 fraction and selecting the test substance impeding production of the indoxyl sulfuric acid, the inhibitor of the metabolic production of the indoxyl sulfuric acid, and the mitigator of the kidney damage which includes the substance impeding production of the indoxyl sulfuric acid obtained by the method.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
