The system generates paper profile of a document by enabling users to define document characteristics using an electronic form with multiple fields, generating a unique identification code for the paper profile and later associating it with digitized document image obtained after scanning. The system also has a built-in tracking mechanism to account for missing or damaged documents, which results in a highly efficient enterprise by eliminating wait time for further processing. The system also displays status of availability of document in the database
