A construct comprising a DNA operably linked to a regulatory sequence, in which said DNA suppresses the expression of a protein or a polypeptide that possesses enzymatic activity that produces tear factor, in which said DNA comprises a sequence selected from the (i) , (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) that follow, in both orientations, sense and antisense: (i) a DNA sequence of SEQ ID NO. 1, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13 or 15; (ii) a DNA sequence that has an identity of at least 75%, with a DNA sequence represented by SEQ ID NO. 1, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13 or 15; (iii) a regulatory DNA sequence located immediately on the upstream side and that regulates the expression of a DNA sequence represented by SEQ ID NO. 1, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13 or 15, of a genomic DNA of the genus Allium; (iv) a DNA sequence located between the DNA sequence cited in (i) and the regulatory DNA sequence cited in (iii), of a genomic DNA of the genus Allium; and (v) a DNA sequence that is at least 18 nucleotides in length from the DNA sequence cited in (i), (ii), (iii) or (iv).
