A method for preparing a functional food containing dietary fiber, and a functional food prepared by the method are provided to allow dietary fiber to be taken continuously and periodically. A method for preparing a functional food containing dietary fiber comprises the steps of preparing an edible dietary fiber powder; preparing a Lactobacillus bifidus powder; binding the edible dietary fiber powder and the Lactobacillus bifidus powder and mixing it with chocolate; and packaging the obtained mixture.
