Exhaust gas inlet flow control valve opening or closing control method for e.g. diesel engine, involves controlling valve based on acquired pressure difference between filling and swirl plenum chambers and acquired characteristics value
The method involves acquiring difference of pressure between filling and swirl plenum chambers (25, 26) of an air distributor (24) in an internal combustion engine (1) using pressure transducers (101, 102), and acquiring a value of determined characteristics such as speed value or load value, relative to an operation point of the combustion engine. An exhaust gas inlet flow control valve (27) is controlled based on the acquired pressure difference and the acquired characteristics value. An independent claim is also included for an internal combustion engine including two cylinders and an air distributor.
