PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flaw detection method for observing cracks generated on a concrete surface which enables visual inspection, which is recommended to be performed at a position as close as 10-30 cm by a current observation method, to be performed at a remote position of not less than 5 m, and to provide a flaw detection agent, a surface treating agent and a sample piece used in the same.;SOLUTION: The flaw detection agent for concrete is obtained by adding colored particles which emit fluorescent light, according to the opening width of crack to be checked, to a liquid with permeability improved by adding a surfactant to water as a dispersion medium. When the flaw detection agent is allowed to flow on the surface, the colored particles in the flaw detection agent adsorb on the surface of the crack, or cause a clogging phenomenon in the cracking portion by permeable action of the flaw detection agent caused by the capillarity so that the flaw portion is displayed in a more visible manner. The crack to be checked is a crack having an opening width of 0.02-0.2 mm, which is difficult to be observed by eyes from a short distance. The use of a sample piece having processed cracks enables application of an optimal flaw detection agent and observation conditions for remote inspection.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
