PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product which reads a recognition mark with excellent reliability even though product facilities and the characteristics of the recognition mark are different, the method of positioning the product, a recognition mark discrimination method, and a program for positioning the product.;SOLUTION: In the step 21 of reading a recognition mark in the method 20 of positioning a product, one predetermined recognition mark is selected and read out of a plurality of recognition marks which are arranged close to each other on the reading surface of the product, which has the same recognition information, and the optical characteristics of which are made to be different beforehand.
