PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact microstrip antenna that can continuously detect a moving state of a body to be detected which is present in front of a sensor by controlling the radiation direction of a radio wave beam, and to provide a radio wave sensor having the microstrip antenna.;SOLUTION: The microstrip antenna has a plurality of reception portions arranged symmetrically about a rectangular transmission electrode 3 for transmitting a radio wave beam. The reception portions have rectangular reception electrodes 4a and 4b, detecting elements 5a and 5b to be connected to the reception electrodes 4a and 4b through phase adjusting lines 7a and 7b for adjusting phases of the reception electrodes 4a and 4b, and output lines 6a and 6b connected directly to the reception electrodes 4a and 4b and outputting reception signals detected by the detecting elements 5a and 5b to the output, the phase adjusting lines 7a and 7b being long such that phases of the reception electrodes 4a and 4b are plus with respect to the phase of the transmission electrode 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
