Pulsating wave propagation delay time measurement equipment and its use the cardiac sound

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately grasp the timing of the aortic valve opening by a pulse wave propagation time measuring device for measuring the pulse wave propagation time in a living body and a method of using the device. PSOLUTION: The device comprises two cardiac sound microphones, at least one pulse wave sensor, a cardiac sound adjusting part for adjusting the relative amplitude and phase of the two cardiac sounds picked up by the two cardiac sound microphones, a difference calculation part for calculating the difference of the two cardiac sounds whose relative amplitude and phase adjusted by the cardiac sound adjusting part, and a time calculation part for calculating the pulse wave propagation time based on the difference calculated by the difference calculating part and the pulse wave picked up by the pulse wave sensor. The cardiac sound adjusting part is structured to adjust the relative amplitude and phase of the two cardiac sounds so that the amplitude and phase in a start-up part of I sound of the two cardiac sounds picked up by the two cardiac sound microphones coincide with each other.
