PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high-security inter-network interconnection apparatus capable of increasing traffic capacitance that can be simultaneously processed.;SOLUTION: An inter-network interconnection apparatus of the present invention comprises: an interface board which includes a plurality of input/output ports and performs lower-layer processing on traffic; a higher-layer processing board for performing higher-layer processing; and an inter-board connection board interposed for information transfer therebetween. The interface board includes a setting section for information specifying each pair of two input/output ports and information about a session being set up and further includes a lower-layer processing section, a route setting section for setting, regarding input traffic from a certain input/output port, the other input/output port of the same pair as an output port; and a required processing discriminating section which discriminates whether higher-layer processing is required for input traffic based on session information set for the input traffic and controls transfer to the higher-layer processing board.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
