A method for preparation of platinum-gold alloy thin films having mesoporous structure by electrochemical deposition and a platinum-gold alloy thin film prepared by the same are provided to increase specific surface area and efficiency by having mesoporous structure through electrochemical deposition. A method for preparation of platinum-gold alloy thin films having mesoporous structure comprises: a first step mixing two solutions and manufacturing mixture after dissolving the chloroplatinic acid(H2PtCl6) powder and chloroauric acid(HAuCl4) powder at nitrogen atmosphere in the distilled water; a second step manufacturing electrolyte solution by adding the poly(ethylene glycol)- block-poly(propylene glycol)-block-poly(ethylene glycol) powder in the mixture of the first step; a third step manufacturing a platinum-gold alloy film having the mesoporous structure by dipping a substrate in electrolyte solution manufactured in the second step and electrochemically evaporating the substrate; and a fourth step removing poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(propylene glycol)-block-poly(ethylene glycol) by washing the thin film manufactured in the third step and drying the thin film.
