PURPOSE: A biomarker for confirming exposure to benzoapyrene which is one of PAH(Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon) is provided to monitor and determine benzoapyrene pollution. CONSTITUTION: A biomarker for confirming benzoapyrene exposure contains a gene derived from Oryzias javanicus. The expression of the biomarker gene is increased by benzoapyrene exposure. A method for confirming benzoapyrene exposure comprises: a step of isolating RNA from interstitial cells of control group and experimental group, which are derived from Oryzias javanicus; a step of synthesizing RNA of the experimental group and control group to cDNA and labeling with other fluorescence; a step of hybridizing the cDNA with a microarray; a step of analyzing the microarray; and comparing analyzed data of control group and experimental group.
