PURPOSE: A power inductor and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to facilitate mass production of a power inductor by welding an embedded coil which is manufactured in advance to a terminal.;CONSTITUTION: A power inductor(10) comprises a magnetic sheet main body(14), an embedded coil(11), and a terminal(12). The magnetic sheet main body has the thickness ranges from 0.1mm to 1.5mm. The embedded coil is arranged within the magnetic sheet main body. The terminal is surface-contact with the side and a part of an upper side of the magnetic sheet main body. The end part of the terminal is welded with the end part of the embedded coil.
