The device has upper and lower heat exchangers producing density difference between liquid storage mediums in storage and rolling pipes and an orifice baffle surrounding the pipes. A conveying device e.g. motor-driven pump produces the flow of the medium in an opposite direction. The storage and rolling pipes include openings that have check valves, where the openings are distributed over height and circumference of the pipes. The valves allow the flow of the medium from the pipes into the orifice baffle. A recirculation device e.g. pump, recirculates the mediums into natural circulation. An independent claim is also included for a method for layered storing and rolling of heats in and from an insulated container.
