The accumulator (2) has an evaporator (24) that is thermally coupled to a component e.g. lithium ion battery (46), of a motor vehicle and/or a fluid in a region of a drive train of the motor vehicle. Absorbed heat is extracted from the component and/or the fluid in a region of the evaporator during evaporation of a coolant i.e. water. An absorber (26) is thermally coupled to the component and the fluid, such that released heat is supplied to the component and/or the fluid in a region of the absorber during absorption of the coolant.
