The fan has a rotor disk or a fan wheel (2) comprising a set of fan blades (6). Each of the fan blades comprises a slat (20), which extends along a front edge of the fan blades. The front edge points in a rotational direction of the rotor disk or the fan wheel. The slat is separated from the front edge of the fan blade by an air gap (22). The slats are integrally connected with the associated fan blades by bars (32, 34). The air gap is formed as a recess. The rotor disk or the fan wheel is a molded part made of metal or plastic.
