The device (2) has an anti-noise device (1) reducing noise developed during operation of the device. A control unit (3) supplies anti-noise signals, and a noise generating unit (4) e.g. loud speaker and piezoelectric film, converts the anti-noise signals into an anti-noise signal that is phase-shifted into the noise around 180 degree. An acoustic sensor (5) converts interfering noise into an interfering signal, and control unit generates the anti-noise signals by analysis of the interfering signal. The noise generating unit is arranged on a housing and/or components of the device. An independent claim is also included for a method for reducing anti-noise developed during operation of a tomography device.
