Two-dimensional X-ray images (26a-26d) of the object e.g. patient's heart (14), are taken from different lines of sight (24a-24d). Noise filtering of each two-dimensional X-ray image is performed to produce a secondary two-dimensional X-ray image (28a-28d). The three-dimensional X-ray image (30) is then produced using the latter X-ray images.
