The slot machine has a screen, and an optical element e.g. multi-focal lens, temporarily moved in front of the screen in viewing direction of a viewer. The optical element is observed by the viewer based on image contents in a plane other than a plane of a surface of the screen, where the image contents represent effect of the optical element on the screen. The image contents are displayed in front of the screen during retention period of the optical element. A control unit controls the screen, and coordinates movement and retention period of the optical element.
