Use of adsorption agent for improving the plant growth of different water- and/or swamp-plants in aquarium, terrarium, culture container or ponds, is claimed, where the adsorption agent is used for a time period of at least 2 months. An independent claim is included for a method for improving the plant growth of different water- and/or swamp-plants in aquarium, terrarium, culture container or ponds, comprising contacting natural water with the above adsorption agent for a time period of at least 2 months.
