The method involves identifying weak articulated sound in a short period of time, where the weak articulated sound is replaced by a corresponding synthetic sound. The synthetic sound is modified before mixing the weak articulated sound in an acoustic voice signal (3) with respect to an energy and/o frequency balance point. The voice signal is decelerated before the insertion of the synthetic sound that is dynamically superimposed and suppressed in the received voice signal. The weak articulated sound is assigned to a predetermined prototype sound. An independent claim is also included for a device for processing an acoustic voice signal, comprising an electronic processing device.
