The method involves providing three dimensional digital data relative to a three-dimensional object, and providing remote client stations. The digital data are fragmented spatially according to a spatial fragmentation tree. Detail levels are associated with nodes of the tree for forming a detail tree. The configuration of the detail tree is defined dynamically in response to an interest zone visualization request. An interest zone of the object is represented by the client stations according to the detail levels contained in the configuration of the detail tree. An independent claim is also included for a computing architecture for representing an interest zone of a three-dimensional object by remote client stations.
