PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersion member for hot-dip metal plating bath to which the foreign matter floating on a hot-dip metal plating bath hardly attaches.;SOLUTION: The immersion member 742 for hot-dip metal plating bath is formed by using silicon nitride (Si3N4)-based ceramic composite material in which 20-70 mass% of boron nitride (BN) is blended with respect to the total mass of the ceramic composite material. When the immersion member 742 is used for a foreign matter removing device (gas lift pump 7) attached to the hot-dip metal plating apparatus, the foreign matter (dross D) hardly attaches or fixes to the immersion member 742 and, therefore, the exchange frequency of the immersion member 742 can be reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
