PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability in the air by reducing resistance fluctuation with time of an acicular indium tin oxide (ITO) powder with low resistance.;SOLUTION: The ITO powder is produced by firing tin-containing indium hydroxide in an atmosphere of an inert gas and a reducing gas, and treating it at a temperature of 0-100°C for a prescribed time under an atmosphere of inert gas and/or reducing gas containing moisture before exposing it in the air.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
