PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge a successive application range for remaining life assessment using data of a similar apparatus even when bearing vibration data at normal time is not acquired, by separately preparing a vibration database of the similar apparatus according to an apparatus type, apparatus output, and the like as the bearing vibration data at the normal time. PSOLUTION: The remaining life assessing method comprises a basic data sampling stage of determining a vibration signal about a rolling bearing 3 using an acceleration sensor and sampling a frequency band signal including a resonance frequency band signal detectable at the highest sensitivity with an experiment device, a measuring stage of measuring the frequency band signal including the resonance frequency band signal detectable at the highest sensitivity about the rolling bearing 3 to be assessed, and a determining stage of estimating the dust mixing state of the rolling bearing 3 and the degradation state of a lubricant and calculating the remaining life of the rolling bearing 3 using the measured value determined in the measuring stage, data determined in the basic data sampling stage, and vibration data of a normal state sampled using the rolling bearing disposed in an apparatus similar to rotating apparatuses 1 and 2.
