P2P OVERLAY NETWORK ARCHITECTURE FOR MEDIA STREAMING, METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING MEDIA STREAMING DATA OVER THE NETWORK AND METHOD FOR ESTABLISHING THE NETWORK

摘要

PURPOSE: A p2p overlay network architecture for media streaming, a method for transmitting media streaming data over the network and a method for establishing the network are provided to enhance the activity ratio of the network resource by reducing duplicated traffic amount. CONSTITUTION: A source peer is the source of media streaming data. The peers belonging to the p2p overlay network build a tree structure and the source peer is the root node. A mesh overlay is constituted by connecting peers having same parent peer. The mesh overlay is accomplished by mesh connection between peers representing each plate.
