SILICATE HYBRID COATING MATERIAL AND COATING METHOD FOR BRIDGE USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A silicate hybrid coating material is provided to form a physically and chemically stable film layer on the surface of a concrete bridge and to improve corrosion resistance of a steel bridge by coupling a concrete bridge and a steel bridge in one body. CONSTITUTION: A silicate hybrid coating material comprises 10~35 weight% of tetraalkoxy silicate, 16~75 weight% of acrylic copolymers, 5~15 weight% of ethyl alcohol, and 5~40 weight% of propyl methyl silicone intermediates. A method for preparing the silicate hybrid coating material comprises the steps of: injecting the tetraalkoxy silicate, ethyl alcohol and propyl methyl silicone intermediates into a reaction bath and raising and stirring the materials at 80~90 C; and dropping the acryl monomer, 4-cyanovaleric acid, and glycidalmethacrylate.
