FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to pharmacotherapy and deals with method of predicting efficiency of treatment of patients with chronic brain ischemia and type 2 diabetes mellitus with pharmacologic preparation mildronate. Essence of method lies in determining in patient's blood erythrocytes activity of glutathione peroxidase (GPO). If values of GPO activity are lower than 23.7±2.23 nmol/min per 1 mg of protein, efficient treatment with mildronat is predicted.
